With this program I have attempted to replicate some of the guide rail and bracket spacing seismic zone requirements found in Part XXIV of the A17.1-1996 code. ( Section 8.4 in the 2000 edition ) This calculation is for a counterweight rail system. Keep in mind that I have tried to interpret the code as accurately as possible. If you have any suggestions as to how I might improve this program please let me know.
